FANNY PETIT

I'm an art director, photographer and content creator.

CAN YOU TELL US ABOUT YOUR CREATIVE/WORKING PROCESS ?

My creative process is based on art direction: I try to instill vision and coherence into each project. I'm lucky enough to be able to express this in a variety of ways: photography, curation of objects and furniture, and interior design. My desire is to revive memories, arouse emotions and build harmonious universes that create an emotion as much as they tell a story.

IS THERE A PARTICULAR PROJECT YOU'D LIKE TO SHARE WITH US ?

In 2018, the creation of Le Favori sandwich shop alongside my partner, Charles Baudoux, was a seminal project for me: I imagined the identity and visual universe of the place, while overseeing renovations. This project was an opportunity to think through every detail to give the space a soul, and this approach has never left me: the desire to create places or images that awaken emotions and leave a lasting impression.

I recently sourced decorative objects for the events and culinary agency Gomi @gomiparis, and I'm just finishing renovating our country house @maisonnino, an hour from Paris. I thought of this place as a refuge, and beyond our stays, I want this house to live, welcome and inspire.

HOW DOES YOUR ACTIVITY INFLUENCE THE WAY YOU DRESS ?

My professional activity has a profound influence on the way I dress. In a way, clothes are an extension of the world I create in my projects. The search for beauty and harmony is essential, because it shapes both the way others perceive me and the way I perceive myself. At the frontier between the intimate and the social: clothing tells something even before we speak, it carries a message and goes even further: it triggers emotions and revives memories.

HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH CLOTHES ?

My relationship with clothes is very similar to my relationship with interior design. My tastes are quite varied and I work very much on intuition and instinct. I prefer second-hand and quality pieces. The mix of colors, patterns, textures and materials fascinates me; it's a bit like composing a scene, where every detail has its importance. Like objects, clothes captivate me, but I refuse to accumulate because I like to evolve in minimalist environments that favor my concentration and well-being.

WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE CÈUCLE PIECE AND WHY ?

My favorite Cèucle piece is the TAPERED PANTS CHAPTER 5, which is sublime.

IF YOU HAD TO DESCRIBE CÈUCLE IN 3 WORDS ?

Chic, comfortable and timeless.
